In general

The PATWWW-system was put together in order to make the automatic delivery of patent documents per Internet, without many additional programs, possible.

For the usage of the system on your local machine, all you need is the Acrobat Reader from Adobe and a newer WWW-browser (Internet Explorer, Mozilla etc.).

Registration

The first step is entering your personal information under user registration. After you have filled out and sent the form, you will receive an e-mail containing a verification number.

Verification

You have to enter this number together with your user identification and password on the verification page. This ensures that your e-mail address is correct. You are registered after the confirmation of the system and you can order patent documents.

Order

Now you can order patents on the starting page through the 'PatDocs-Order' option. When the patents you ordered are available, you will receive an e-mail stating where you have to download your documents.

Possible file formats

You can order your patent documents in two formats, either PDF or ITS. Click here for more information about delivery formats in PATWWW.

Altenatives to the pick-up

Independent of the confirmation-mail you can directly check your personal status of delivery any time (through the 'PatDocs-Delivery' option) and download present deliveries immediately on demand. In any case you will receive the mail.
